Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, commonly known as Kasarani Stadium, is Kenya's largest multi-purpose sports complex and one of East Africa's premier sporting venues. Located in Kasarani, approximately 15 kilometres northeast of Nairobi's city centre, the stadium officially opened in 1987 and was constructed to host the 4th All-Africa Games. With a seating capacity of approximately 60,000 spectators, it serves as a major venue for football, athletics, rugby, concerts, and public events.
Home of the Kenya national football team (Harambee Stars), the stadium hosts international football matches, CAF competitions, FIFA qualifiers, athletics events, and major celebrations. It hosted the 1987 All-Africa Games and the 2021 World Athletics U20 Championships, reinforcing its reputation as a leading venue for regional and global sport. Ongoing upgrades support future continental tournaments and enhance visitor facilities and event operations.
Managed by Sports Kenya, the venue features a natural grass football pitch, an international-standard athletics track, VIP hospitality areas, media facilities, athlete training and changing rooms, modern spectator amenities, and parking. It continues to strengthen Kenya's sports tourism sector while welcoming athletes, supporters, organizers, businesses, and visitors seeking world-class competitions and entertainment experiences throughout the year.
