The Ultra X Sahara 2027 will take place from 22 to 26 March 2027 in the Chegaga region of the Moroccan Sahara, delivering one of the world’s most extreme multi-stage ultra marathon experiences. As part of the global Ultra X series, the event covers approximately 220 km across five consecutive stages through vast desert terrain, including sand dunes, rocky plateaus, and remote wilderness landscapes. Runners and walkers of varying abilities participate, with overall rankings determined by cumulative time rather than a single race finish.

The demanding multi-day format requires exceptional endurance, heat tolerance, strategy, and mental resilience as competitors face temperatures from 25°C to 40°C. The race attracts elite ultra runners and adventure athletes seeking an authentic desert challenge in one of the world’s most unforgiving environments. Each stage tests pacing, recovery, navigation, and survival skills while delivering a unique expedition-style running experience.

The Ultra X Sahara 2027 showcases Morocco’s breathtaking desert scenery and reinforces its reputation as a premier destination for international endurance sports and adventure racing. Participants experience unforgettable landscapes and world-class organization while exploring North Africa. The event inspires endurance athletes worldwide to push their physical and mental limits.
